How to dictate

Two ways to talk

ekkoboard gives you two ways to start dictating, and the video shows both.

1. Tap to talk. Tap to start talking and speak naturally. The video shows how to start and stop.
2. Hold to talk. Press and hold while you speak. The video shows how this works.

Fill in an email field by field

You can dictate into each field of an email in turn. The video walks through an email from start to finish this way, speaking into one field at a time.

Emojis by voice

You can add emojis by speaking. Say the emoji you want while you dictate and it is inserted into your text, so you do not need to switch keyboard layouts.

Tips for better results

• Try both tap to talk and hold to talk and use whichever feels natural for the message.
• Read the text back before you send, then change anything with the editing tools in the next tutorial.
